Both hardwood (European ash, European oak, European beech, European cherry) and softwood (poplars) are exported via the port to countries such as Egypt, China, India and Vietnam. Depending on the quantity, transport takes place via bulk transport or container transport.

Export via the port
De Proft-Schouppe specialises in the bulk transport of logs. In countries such as Egypt, China, India and Vietnam, softwood and hardwood are in high demand. How do we work? After the logs are loaded into a truck, they are transported to the port. The wood is then stacked on a seagoing vessel and transported in bulk to its final destination.

CONTAINER TRANSPORT
Container transport of logs
Export via shipping containers
You can also contact De Proft-Schouppe for container transport. After cutting, measuring and sawing, the logs are towed away and stacked in containers to be transported by truck to the port of Antwerp. There, the containers are loaded onto a seagoing vessel and leave for the export country, where the wood is not available.
